WELCOME to Escape to the Country Dog Kennels
Loving dogs is what we are all about! We provide an alternative to placing your dog in a traditional kennel while you are on holiday.
Owned and operated by Emma (that's me!) and Keith, we are both animal lovers and wanted a place that we would 'leave our own dogs'. Like many dog owners, we worry about our family members too!
The dogs in our care become part of our family which also includes 3 horses, 3 cats, our Jack Russell Terrier, Mugsy and Lab/ Border Collie mix, Luna.
Both of us have an extensive knowledge in the care of dogs having been involved with dogs for most of our lives. We are both PET FIRST-AID CERTIFIED having taken the nationally recognized, Walks 'n' Wags curriculum.
Our kennels are an extension of our home which means that the dogs are able to feel relaxed and comfortable in our peaceful surroundings. We have even been known to have the dogs in the house for 'TV Time' as we're not the typical kennel! This is a true country retreat.
Knowing how important it is for dogs (mentally and physically) to play, sniff, run around and stretch their legs, our guests are exercised together so they can interact with each other. This way they get a lot more play time! In other words, dogs can be dogs! We match the energy level, size and age of the dogs so their stay will be a pleasurable one. Your pets' well-being and mental state are of the utmost importance.
We are able to provide a level of care that gives personal one to one attention to all dogs boarded here, and are dedicated to offering a friendly, secure and caring environment. Both you and your dog can have a worry free holiday.
